Types of notifications
After you submit your application, you can choose how you want the Administration to contact you to notify you of the request. resolution or Ask for more information.
There are 2 ways to receive notifications:
- On paper.
- Electronically
You can choose the way you want, except if you have an obligation to use electronic media to interact with the Administration.
- Get more information about this obligation
You can also change your options whenever you want and receive notifications on paper or electronically as you see fit.
If you are obliged to use the electronic media, you will only be able to use this form.
Electronic notifications
Even if you choose to receive paper notifications, the Administration usually sends them electronically as well, as long as this option is available.
You can access your electronic notifications at:
- the Single Qualified Electronic Address
Access the Single Enabled Email Address - the Citizen Folder
Access to the Citizen Folder - Some electronic headquarters of the agencies that send the notifications.
When you start a procedure electronically, you will find information about this.
To access the Citizen Folder and the Single Enabled Email Address you need a digital certificate or be registered at Cl@ve.

Obligation to communicate electronically
There are people who are obliged to make procedures and receive notifications electronically. For example, thelegal persons.
Article 14 of Law 39/2015 explains who has this obligation.
The Administration can also oblige somephysical person to communicate by electronic means.For example, the people whooppositionto work in the General State Administration.
