Public Participation in Policy Projects

Article 26 of Government Act No. 50/1997 of 27 November 1997 provides for the participation of citizens, organizations and associations in the preparation of draft laws, draft royal legislative decrees and draft regulations promoted by the General Administration of the State.

Once the project or preliminary draft has been prepared, and in the event that it affects the rights and legitimate interests of the citizens, the text will be published in the same web portal, in order to substantiate the procedure of public information or grant audience to the persons concerned, directly or through the organizations or associations representing them, as well as to obtain any additional contributions that may be made by other persons or entities.
