Information on the authorisation process

The processes for granting authorisation, as well as the required documentation and necessary procedures, depend on the Autonomous Community in which the NZIA project is located. Therefore, to access this information, as with the single point of contact, the developer must select the relevant Autonomous Community in order to have this information available via the interactive single point of contact map(Abre en nueva ventana) .

An overall summary of this process is provided in the following diagram:

Initial application

  • Project report:
    • This report must contain information on promoters, characteristics, job creation, economic, social, environmental impact, land (location, ownership, availability), economic-financial viability plan, as well as any additional information necessary for the proper analysis of the project.
  • If the single point of contact perceives that further information is needed, it may require further documentation to be provided by the sponsor.

Completing an application

Depending on the case, the following steps may be taken:

  • Determination, by the single point of contact, of the scope and parties involved, including the municipalities affected
  • Meetings between the single point of contact and the promoter with the parties involved
  • Based on the scope of the procedure corresponding to the project, assessment of, inter alia, the following aspects:
  • Territorial and urban planning
  • Environmental
  • Historical and cultural heritage
  • Economics and business
  • Municipal aspects
  • Determination of authorisations required

Authorisation

The developer, through the single point of contact, must request a corresponding authorisation from each of the parties involved as required during the processing phase.
