Adult education
Everyone must have the opportunity to continue learning throughout their lives, both within and outside the education system, in order to acquire, update, complete and extend their capabilities, knowledge, skills, aptitudes and competences for their personal and professional development.
In that sense, it is always a good time to learn. For this reason, the adult learning system currently offers a range of delivery methods and education programmes tailored to the personal, family and professional circumstances of the majority of the population. One example is the Aula Mentor
initiative, an online lifelong learning programme for enhancing the personal and professional skills of adults. This system combines online education and personalised remote tutoring with an extensive network of physical classrooms across the country.
For more information on the organisation of adult education in Spain, please consult the information available in the online encyclopaedias Redipedia and Eurypedia
, updated by the Eurydice education information networks (at European level) and rediE (in Spain), and on the portal of the Spanish education system Educagob
.
Furthermore, the European Platform for Adult Learning (EPALE) is a freely accessible, multilingual European community comprising professionals in the field of adult learning, such as educators and trainers, guidance and support staff, researchers and other members of academic institutions, including policy-makers.
For further information, please consult the EPALE website Spain.
